West is Best

The center of the Association universe was in...Sacramento yesterday. Milwaukee and Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 14 points and 13 rebounds did in the “Kings” 133-124. There were plenty of points, a rabid crowd, cowbells, even a fight. Look at what the participants said:

“It was a really fun environment to play in. Sacramento always has great fans, great team this year. You get the cowbells and everything like that and all stuff I remember. It was a really fun atmosphere.”—Milwaukee’s Brook Lopez—who was ejected in the fight!😁

“Their team is very good for us to take our foot off the accelerator. That’s what we did in the second half, unacceptable.”—Sacramento big man Domantas Sabonis.

“It’s unfortunate [the fight]. I think it was a great game. I was so impressed by Sacramento and the way they play. I’m not going to say anything about what did or didn’t happen.”—Milwaukee coach Mike Budenholzer.

The "Kings" will go to the playoffs for the first time in seventeen years. 👏

And by the Bay, Golden State made a point to the young “Suns.” The Splash Brothers donated 56 to the cause of getting even and Jordan Poole added 20 in the “Warriors” 123-112 win.
