I didn’t do justice to what this meant to me in the earlier post. at 4:56. I am overwhelmed with my communicant’s generosity of spirit after so many years. It was a bolt of kindness out of the blue. It has been many years since I wrote anything serious on China. I don’t know what (s)he read by me that prompted her email. Which makes it all the more special. It is something I will treasure all of my life and is a tribute to his/her soul more so than to mind. It reminded me that there was always a discord in my mind about China. I truly love the Chinese people. Everyone I met or communicated with moves me with their goodness, and yet, I loath Zhongnanhai. I will always love rhe Chinese people and loathe their leaders. It is a tragedy that I feel poignantly.
