The head Man of Steel is under more pressure right now than at any other point in his 17-year run. I don't follow the Stillers closely enough to know the details but from a bird's eye perspective, the fire is easy to see. Pittsburgh is the most difficult to watch decent team in the NFL. They have no O; didn't have any O last season and don't this season. For the first time (that I am aware) some of his players openly revolted. Tomlin was losing the team. So he got rid of OC Matt Canada, his hire, who fans wanted out last season. Kenny Pickett, his QB, regressed from last season to this. More fans are calling for the org to move on from him. Then Pickett got hurt. Mitch Trubisky, Tomlin's QB before Pickett, is now playing the position. He didn't play it well last week. The point I have emphasized, "his", "his", "his", "his", is Tomlin. Pittsburgh's wins this season must have been as dissatisfying to the fan base as wins can be. Now they've lost two straight (to two 2-10 teams) and three of four. That third, at Cleveland Nov. 19, was when the tipping point became visible publicly. Tomlin must needs get this right and get the team to the playoffs or the heat will dramatically intensify.
