SEVERAL reporters wrote that they observed Trump sleeping/dozing/nodding off in court, including compelling detail like head dropped on chest, mouth hanging open, ignoring notes from his lawyer for several minutes, leaning back eyes closed, jolting awake. And at two different times, one around noon, the other around 3 pm. Point is, there's as much consensus on it as we can get. It is strange, of course. Really strange. I didn't think of any causes, until I read this just a few minutes ago:

From the time that that video was posted it was less than two one-half hours before Maggie Haberman first posted that Trump was sleeping
