I'm still a novitiate. Is there something about this medium that makes assholes out of people? Or that attracts existing assholes?
Bill Murray was a total asshole during the production of What About Bob? VIOLENT. Bill Murray? Has he always been an asshole? Murray screamed in Richard Dreyfuss' face, "Everyone hates you!", and then threw a heavy ashtray directly at Dreyfuss' face, missing him. He was violent toward the producer, Laura Ziskin. He threw her into a lake; he threatened to throw Ziskin across a parking lot, ripped her sunglasses off her face, broke them, and threw them across the parking lot.
I am shocked. I don't know how common assholes are in film. Is it just the movies I'm choosing?
