In that Marsh Family ABBA spoof of JD Vance there was a line, something like “you’ve had a few names”, so I looked it up. From Wikipedia:
Vance was named James Donald Bowman at birth. Afterward, he was adopted by his mother's third husband and had his name changed to James David Hamel. Upon his marriage in 2014, he adopted his maternal grandparents' surname of Vance.
So he has been JD Vance for TEN years. That’s a little weird. Who is he? Does he know?
Not that the name change is the WEIRDEST. Calling Trump “Hitler”—while ACCURATE—could not have been a + for Trump. “Childless cat ladies” is second worst. Writing the forward to the Heritage Foundation’s president’s book on Project 2025–when Trump said he had never HEARD of Project 2025 and found some of its ideas “ridiculous and abysmal” is the worst.
Trump really did not think this pick through. Not that he thinks much through.
