This is a photograph of Dr. Lisa Randall from the August, 2007 issue of Vogue. She is one of the most accomplished scientists in the world. She is also the author of the acclaimed book Warped Passages: Unraveling the Mysteries of the Universe's Hidden Dimensions.

Dr. Randall is Professor of Theoretical Physics at Harvard, the first woman ever tenured in

that department. Before that she was the first woman tenured in the Physics department at

Princeton and the first tenured woman in Theoretical Physics at M.I.T. She is one of the world's leading experts in particle physics and cosmology and her work is among the most-cited in all of science.
