This is how it started with me. I got the below email yesterday. (No, I don't know a "Tom" in Hong Kong.) I copied and pasted the Chinese script next to "doc" onto Google Translate and it said something about Chinese human rights in some county, I forget which. Then I attempted to open the document. It didn't. (I have taken out the document link).
I came this close, no this close, to forwarding this to a Chinese-American friend and asking her if it looked legitimate before I did anything with it but there was so little writing that I didn't know how anyone could tell.
So there you have it.
