Cases continued their deep drop in the CDC's Oct. 14 iteration of the 7-day daily average metric.
82,324/day Oct. 14.
The drop has been unbroken since the Sept. 15 it. and except for that aberrational spike continuous since, and a 51% drop from, Sept. 1. Cases are down 45% since the Sept. 15 spike. So, given the death interval, 3-4 weeks, given that 76.9% of Americans twelve and older have now received at least one shot of vaccine, and given that vaccine apologists keep saying the vaccines prevent hospitalization and death but not infection as well, we should already have started seeing a sustained drop in deaths. Do we see a sustained drop in deaths?
1,248/day Oct. 14.
Yes, we do. I apologize for any inconvenience caused by my doubts to vaccine apologists.Deaths have declined 32% from their high on...Sept. 15, poifectly aligning with the death interval, although not as steep. I wonder why if the vaccines are so good at preventing the worse outcomes there's that significant disparity in the declines. Oh well!
Very pretty happy tonight with this data.
