In February 2017, Irving stated in an interview for a podcast that he believes that the Earth is flat.[173] In a later interview, he was less forceful in advancing his flat Earth belief, encouraging people to "do their own research" into the topic.[174][175] In September 2017, Irving denied these claims and said that media misunderstood him as he was joking.[176] However, in a June 2018 interview, when asked if he would admit that the world is round, he said "I don't know. I really don't", and added that people should "do [their] own research for what [they] want to believe in" because "Our educational system is flawed".[177] In October 2018, Irving apologized for his original flat Earth comments.[178]

Irving also stated that he believes in other conspiracy theories, such as the idea that John F. Kennedy was killed because he wanted to end the banking cartel.[179]

According to the Rolling Stone, Irving has shared and interacted with social media posts from a conspiracy theorist on Instagram, claiming that "secret societies are administering vaccines in a plot to connect Black people to a master computer for a plan of Satan". Irving is part of a group of players spreading misinformation related to microchips and the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.[180]

The "Nets" have to pay this nut. At least as it stands now they can't not pay him. The NBA advised the team that, according to the collective bargaining agreement, they didn't have to pay him, but the NBAPA head disagreed. Bedbugs has missed 27% of games over his career, the vast majority due to injury but also others not injury related, like the missed bedbug game and those, like last season, when he was excused to tend to "personal problems".  Irving clearly has cognitive deficits, I don't know what his IQ is but he seems borderline borderline retarded to me.
