Schadenfreude Saturday

Where do we start? On this Sunday after a Saturday of Schadenfreude like no other let us give thanks to the Creator.

-For Steve Sarkisian…

No, for Steve Sarkisian, the entire University of Texas, and the whole state of Texas, for making this only-with-KU celebratory moment possible.

-For Oklahoma football.

Finally(!) unable to dodge the bullet.

-For Dan Mullen, our most Recent Asshole, for his soaring Baghdad Bob oratory, and his dancing.

-For James Franklin.

“I’d do it again,” intoned Brother James after the Keystone Kops Debacle of a fake field goal in the first quarter from the Michigan two yard line. And the joyful truth is James has done it again, he has done it repeatedly, taken the ball out of the hands of his best players, put the ball into the hands of those least accustomed to have a ball in their hands. But, “I’d do it again” was not James’ immediate reaction on the sideline after said debacle. No, it was something far different James said. You don’t have to be an expert lip reader (although slowing it down was great aid).

-Finally, (So much to be thankful for, so little time) for Manny Diaz

whose gear shift automatically defaults to Reverse.
