There’s an article in The Athletic by a “Pistons” beat writer that the “Pistons” “told on themselves” in their near win in Miami. That is, that they are a “competent” team. 

Did the “Heat” tell on themselves Wednesday night. That is, that they’re the 45-37 regular season team that they have been for nine seasons? That is, average (double entendre)? 

We’ll see tonight for both teams, at least we’ll see one more data point. Deetroit is in Charlotte and Miami is in Beans, who added Holiday, who we should have added, and Porzingis. The “Heat” play a back-to-back tomorrow in Minnehaha and then Monday go to Beer, who added Dame, who we should have added, and already have Giannis.
