In 2023 the Miami "Heat" shared late spring with the Florida "Panthers" hockey club. In 2024 the "Panthers" have late spring all to themselves in the huge South Florida market.

The "Panthers" are winning a championship and building a dynasty.  They are doing so with a culture. The "Heat" have a "Culture", one that has produced an average 45-37 in the past ten basketball seasons, which is very average. 

The "Heat" have lost this spring, and with it their fans. South Floridians, who have so many other sources of pleasure, who hitherto enjoyed ice only in their drinks, are finding it one hour north in Sunrise. There is a spring sunrise rising over South Florida and in sunset the flaming ball is disappearing over the horizon.
