I don't know now...No, I don't think he will be fired in-season. I don't know what Franklin's buy-out is, but PSU, like Pitt, is a "state-related" U. They are both fabulously endowed but..Look, this isn't the SEC, Pennsylvania doesn't do this, fire a coach mid-season. If they lose, I think this will be Franklin's final season, but he'll finish this one out. And look, as I've written here already, if they win, are Penn State people going to go, "A win is a win is a win"? No, and hell no. This one is already a tremendous loss to the psyche.
