"Knicks in Four! Knicks in Four!"

So went the chant in the final minutes tonight in Peoples Square Garden.

I don' think that will happen. Sensitive City was in an 0-2 hole vs Detroit and won the series.

New York is a more perfect team. Jalen Brunson's stat line looked unimpressive until your eyes drifted farther to the right: He had a career-high 14 assists when his shot wasn't falling or Kenny Atkinson's defensive scheme took his shots away feom him. No matter. He became playmaker. The "Knicks" are more versatile.

But Cleveland is an excellent team with firepower out the ass. They are not as versatile, though. They need Donovan Mitchell to score the points and when he doesn't he doesn't morph into a playmaker.

I would not be surprised if Cle. wins both games in the Pawn Shop and I expect one win.

But I espect them to lose the series and then the questions get re-asked: what was up with Mitchell in the 1H. It can't have been physical; he had a great 3rd quarter. Is it James Harden, the pinada of G1? Or Atkinson, also the pinada?

The bottom line for a Pawn Shop owner, Gilbert, is

The

Most

Expensive

Roster

In

The

NBA.

And that roster and that coach can't even win the Least?! How can you run that back with two second-round exits and now a conference semi-final loss?
