There's too much non-football stuff in college football today.
Take Maryland-Rutgers. Please. Two programs, whole athletic departments, that are in financial straits, RUT mucho more than UMD. And both football teams suck and they have sucky coaches. I can't take any joy from the Fire Bowl.
Something's wrong with college football when the villain at Penn State is the...athletic director. I can't take pleasure in PSU's stumbling bumbles when a first year head coach is doing his best under not good circumstances. I would have taken some small pleasure if loathsome, cheating mishigas had lost.

Syracuse, I don't know if they won or lost but they were behind, is another football basket case that according to the president and AD has a shelf life of three years. Talk about QB probs: They lose their starter who was just coming off a year-long injury and then I think they are down to their fourth option. I think no.s two and three also got hurt. I've never heard of anything like that.
I have one shot at schadenfreude left. Miami (3) and Eff Esse Ew are tied at 14 at HT. I verily can't stand the "Hurricanes". They were 21-point favorites. GO SEMIHOLES!
