One homo's sell-out is another homo's pragmatist. Which homo are we, we who make judgments, who are empathetic and yet do not go wooly in the knees?
We are homos who say when Bill Clinton "triangulated" and compromised and deregulated and got the best deal he could he was being pragmatic and he and the Demos got Wall Street money like they had never gotten before and we got the Great Recession. We say Clinton sold-out.
And we say that Barack Obama compromised in deregulating Dodd-Franks regulation and got the best deal he could and was averting a Demo-caused government shut and did it in the sneaky way that has become characteristic of him and was being pragmatic. We say Obama sold-out and we never got any Change.
