ETAN PATZ CASE: PEDRO HERNANDEZ FOUND GUILTY

The first missing child to appear on milk cartons disappeared in 1979. Hernandez was a late-comer to the list of subjects, only coming to investigators attention after a church group member notified them that he had confessed. Body never found. This was the second trial. The first one ended hung 11-1 for conviction after 18 days deliberations. Today's guilty verdict took nine days.
