Shift Happening?

All five English clubs are still alive in the Uefa Champions League. Alive and kicking some continental bootay.

Manchester City 🤗 😘 embarrassed the Swiss yesterday in Basel 4-0.
Today Liverpool did one better to the Portuguese in Porto.
Tottenham drew with the Italians at Juventus yesterday.

Four of the five English clubs, City, United, Spurs, Liverpool, sit atop their Group and Chelsea are second in Group C.

The gap between the EPL and the other European leagues is widening and with all clubs except in...Spain. Madrid, who have won the competition more than any other club, are second to Spurs in Group H and beat Paris today at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium. Barcelona, third all-time, leaders Group D, play Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on February 20. Madrid and Barca have won the last four Champions Leagues. The last English club to win it was Chelsea, 2011/12. The English club with the most UCL trophies is Liverpool and they are fifth all time. The EPL is hands down the most competitive league among the world's greats but until their champion is European champion consistently they cannot be considered the best league in the world.
