All Eyes on Trump

Oil prices closed marginally up today, about .50%, about thirty cents more expensive than yesterday which was 13% higher than the last day's close. Yesterday's and today's oil prices are at about the level they were in April. Gasoline pump prices yesterday rose three cents to an average $2.59 nationwide. The Saudis say they have already restored to 70% of pre-attack levels and should be at 100% in two weeks. We'll see. According to the Quasi's only if gasoline prices rose about fifty cents per gallon at the pump would they be a threat to push the economy into recession. That would only happen if there is a major military escalation: blocking the Strait of Hormuz or regional war.

When you tug on a string you may strengthen the fabric at one place but weaken it at another. If you keep on pulling your fucking shirt is ruined. It has always been thus in the Middle East as well. The markets, both commodities and securities, "are waiting for the other shoe to drop." Another attack. Another Trump bird pump. Iran is tempted and Trump has never disappointed. From playboy to John to admitted rapist with a dick that doesn't work, from Charlottesville to Puerto Rico, from Wall to beaded curtain, from repeal Obamacare to nevermind, from being laughed at to his face by the U.N. to not realizing he was being laughed at to his face, from  "fire and fury" to "we fell in love" with North Korea, from tariffs to not implementing tariffs on China, from scuttling the JCPOA to begging Iran to talk to him, from getting into bed with Netanyahu and MBS and allowing them to make him their bitch, from "locked and loaded" but awaiting orders...

Saudi Arabia oil supply was attacked. There is reason to believe that we know the culprit, are locked and loaded depending on verification, but are waiting to hear from the Kingdom as to who they believe was the cause of this attack, and under what terms we would proceed!

...to I never "promised" to defend the Saudis, from commander in chief to commanding chief of the Alabama weather bureau, friendless, allieless, advisorless, alone, Trump has done one thing in three years: burnish his worldwide image as an impotent, cowardly, unprincipled, untrustworthy, incompetent, buffoon, liar, criminal, racist and clown--which increase his chances of reelection. As long as Trump can avoid a recession and major armed conflict, he has a chance.
