All he has left is violence, or the threat of it. He needs QAnon...
...
...early last week...Trump posted a picture of himself with a QAnon lapel pin and the slogan “The Storm is Coming”—words that describe the destruction of his enemies and perhaps even the live televising of their execution. This past weekend, at a rally in Ohio, Trump played music that mirrored a QAnon anthem, apparently prompting the crowd to respond with a Nazi-like salute.

@juliettekayyem has it exactly right. Trump's embrace of QAnon reflects his desperation in the face of legal threats and his political weakness. It evinces his decompensation, and portends his inevitable self-destruction.
I disagree most strongly with my brother and with Prof. Kayyem. It is not a sign of weakness but a call by a mentally decompensated person for the beginning of civil war, a war which they will lose assuredly and with great dispatch, but for which we must prepare. Calling it an act of desperation and a sign of weakness is lulling in a false security.
