Love this:
Three undefeateds and four different conferences represented in the top four, no one-loss ahead of a no-loss and no two-loss ahead of a one. Nothing else the committee could do with OSU at 5. “Buckeyes” and “Crimson Tide” are also done with their regular season schedules.
ESPN:
The CFP is on the brink of a field that doesn't include Ohio State, Alabama or Clemson. Let that sink in for a minute: Alabama, Clemson and Ohio State have claimed 17 of the 32 playoff spots. This season, Ohio State and Alabama didn't win their respective divisions.Almost impossible to see UGA or UM falling out of the playoff even if they lose their conference championship games (in which they are heavy, heavy favorites). The fly in this beauty cream is SC, who have a rematch with Utah (their only loss), in the PAC 12 championship game. If the “Trojans” were to lose that would be two L’s to the same team in the same season! No can do. The committee would have to jump OSU into 4th. Would hate to see that. Go SC!
