I'm going to start S-2 E-2 of Servant of the People soon and I don't know how the series recovers from the abortion that was S-2 E-1. I mentioned Dickens last night. Yes, S-2 E-1 was as if Dickens devoted 32 pages of the 800-page Bleak House to spontaneous combustion rather than the ONE PAGE he did--which was still a cross he had to bear for the rest of his life and into eternity. Servant's stain is more diffuse, 52 minutes over approximately 625. Will the stain of E-1 be as indelible or more than it was diffuse? I don't know, we'll see.
