Reefer-Crack G1

WHERE WAS THE CRACK ENERGY?! We were maniacal against Boston. We played like the "Celtics", unconsciously launching 39 threes and only making 13. Whether we were “stiff” (my ex's word)...

They were probably always set for a letdown against a well-rested Nuggets squad...a general malaise.

 ...or “tight” (Big Brother), ...

There was Miami with just two -- two! -- free throws all night, a mark more of timidity than any officiating issues.

(never thought I'd read any version of the word "timid" and "Heat" in same sentence)...the 1Q was too easy for Reefer! It was their vanilla Princeton backdoor offense and they were ballroom dancing, not even working up a sweat.

There was Nikola Jokic dictating the tone and tenor of the game while taking just 12 shots. His 27-14-10 night just scratched the surface of how effortlessly he seemed to control the game.

I then skipped to 4Q and FIRST play, HH stole the ball off the inbounds for a layup. He was full-court pressing. Gabe was picking his guy up at 3/4 court. THEN we started playing with “intention”, Spo’s word, on both ends. Then we started playing like we were on crack. The speed was CLEARLY faster. Denver likes to play in half court sets so that Jovic can do his waltzing duets with his partners and we let them do that in the 1Q! In the 4th our energy and speed in the 4Q had them jitter-bugging. We have to have fat boy Jovic RUN! I’m really disappointed in Spo. This team was not prepared. I don’t know what Spo’s gameplan was going in.
