Case in point: Adela de la Torre, the president of San Diego State University, just stepped in a shit puddle with her power heels. First Adela sent a letter to the “Aztecs” current conference, the Mountain West, stating her institution’s “intent” to leave said conference. Also asking if the MWC would go easy on them exit fee-wise like “Can you give us a 30-day extension (from June 30), plz?”, and “Do you accept installment payments?”🙄 The Mountain then fell on poor Adela. No, and hell no, and btw your stupid letter was your required “Notice” to us that you are leaving. Adela shit and then fired off a letter claiming her intent letter wasn’t her notice letter. The conference immediately answered “Was too!” and you can take your shitty shoes to another conference’s next board meeting cuz you’re kicked outta ours. Beatch.
The problem for Adela is that SDSU is now homeless, conference affiliation-wise. They are expecting ("I'm expecting a judgment": Miss Flite, Bleak House)—and have been expecting for months (ditto Miss Flite)—an invite to the NEW PAC 12 (minus USC and UCLA) but haven’t like “received” one yet. Oy vey, Adela. Did you run your “intent” letter past your counsel’s office by any chance?
