DeSantis' office said the president's visit would be a hindrance to relief efforts.
The real story, to me anyway, is that...I don't know how this fucking guy ever got elected by anyone to anything. He is the most tone deaf politician I have ever seen. He was scared, that's why he didn't meet with PoJo, whose visit went off without a hitch or inconvenience. DeSantis is afraid of opposition, from a 15 year-old, from Trumpie, from the Jax community who BOOED him after the racist murder of three, from PoJo, and he didn't want to "risk" a photo of him near PoJo for fear that his R opponents would use it against him. As if he has a chance. A new WSJ poll out today has him trailing "the quadruply indicted, twice impeached, former" guy by FORTY SIX percentage points. So think of the optics: the photos today are all of POJO in Florida NOT the governor of Florida in Florida. DeSantis is getting SKEWERED. Agayne.
