The College Football Playoff Committee doesn’t look at the previous week’s rankings. They start anew, are supposed to watch every top-ranked game and rank on the eye test of which teams looked the four best. 

No. 3 m’s 31-24 win at MD was hard on the eyes and the AP writeup duly noted it. With no. 4 FSU struggling against NORTH Alabama, if no. 5 Wershington wins at no. 11 Oregon State (7-7, 4:40 1Q), will the “Huskies” jump the Semiholes and wolvereens? Did m look like one of the four best in the nation today?
