39-32 in the 2H, 74-63 at FT.
To be ranked this late in the season is no misjudgment by voters. 21st is the real deal when you've played 24 games (and won 19 of them). That is, Virginia was a team deeply respected by the cognoscente. And Virginia did not overlook Pitt as Duke may have done. UVA has yo-yo'd in and out (mostly out) of the top 25 all season. This was a big game for them too. And my beloved "Panthers" just punked that team. Specifically, the "Wahoos" got Blaked. Young Mr. Hinson accounted for 27 of Pitt's 74 points on 11/19 (5/13) shooting. Hinson had twice the points of any other "Panther"; 8 more than any dashing "Cavalier". If there is a mountain pathway for these “Panthers” to get to the Big Dance, it goes through Blakesburgh.
