The Brutal Biscayne Bus Breakdown

Obviously, I didn't see the game but blowing a 19-point 3Q lead at home is Old Miami, Cold 45 Miami, not New Miami. No Wig-o is no excuse. We're not even .45 caliber. We're not quite .39 caliber. At .475 we're one-thousandth of a percent behind 2018/19 (39-43). So far we have regressed six years. If we had held on to a 19-point lead in the 3Q we would have projected to 40-42. It would have been incremental progress. Let's take a cherry-picked sample, the last 6 games: an OT win at awful Ontario State; a loss at poorly-coached Beer; a loss in the Pigeons Roost; a comprehensive 20+ point win over same Pigeons in Bang Bus; a convincing 5-point win over Indiana with a winning record; this OT loss to NY. That's a 3-3 record We have 23 games left, let's be optimistic and say we win 12 and lose 11. That concludes our season 40-42. That would be the worst win percentage expressed as a decimal since 2018/19. To reach the promised (by the 10 previous seasons) land of 45 wins we would have to go 17-6.  17-6? Ho-ho-ho. T'AINT HAPPENIN'.

We were stair-stepping nicely. The dub over Indianoplace was our first against a team that exited their L to us .500+ since Dec. 8 (the surreal win over the Cavalry). This game would have been 3W over an excellent team, a giant step. Instead, we tripped over the top step. We're not New Miami yet.
