WHO declared the metastasizing coronavirus a global pandemic. For normals, including the indersigned, in the U.S., the seriousness of the threat to personal and national life hit home shortly after 8 pm when the NBA game between Oklahoma City and Utah was abruptly postponed as a capacity live arena audience and millions on television stared and wondered in perplexity. I will never forget that moment. Shortly thereafter, the NBA announced that the remainder of its entire season was postponed.
A few weeks later, for the first time in human history, much of normal intercourse among people worldwide abruptly ended as lockdowns went into effect.
