The Qataris are a major U.S. ally and the Emir gifted Trump a special luxury 747 jetliner. The Qataris return on that bribe was delivered by Netanyahu on their capital today, at a time when Hamas leadership was meeting to discuss Trump's own peace plan for the Gaza war. On every level today Netanyahu went out of his way to show his contempt for, and to humiliate, Trump.
Friend, frenemy or foe, nobody respects Trump. Putin punked him in Alaska, Xi staged a military show, which Trump craves, on a scale so spectacular, knowing Trump would be watching (which he was), that Xi knew Trump would be humiliated with the comparison to his own not-ready-for-the-bright-lights parade on June 14. Present with Xi were...Putin, and Kim Jong Un. And Trump was humiliated: "Thanks for conspiring against the United States", he posted.

The strike on the territory of a U.S. ally marked a stunning escalation and risked upending talks aimed at winding down the war and freeing hostages.
It doesn't seem to me Netanyahu really wants it to end, does it seem to you, too? War without end, amen.
