Putin's S.o.S. speech did not go over well with the comrades according to Time magazine. American pub so you never know. One delegate looked down and "winced." Really? Actually winced like she was in pain? Maybe her shoes were too tight, who knows! One bit his lip. Alright, whatever.

Time described Putin as "rambling." I only read the first half dozen paragraphs but I had the opposite impression, he plunged right in, no ruffles or flourishes, just Boom! Crimea was ours, now is ours, was/is Russia's "Jerusalem"...So this year they don't have to say "Next year, in Jerusalem," they got it!

To be fair to Time you wouldn't expect a speech to "ramble" after six paragraphs, unless it's me writing a post, it takes some time, I think you have to "meander" first, and the speech is 15 pages long, which isn't really that long, how long could that have taken to deliver? I forget the rule of thumb, do written speeches take longer to deliver when spoken than if you delivered it just reading the words out loud? Yes, right? I could take 30-40 minutes delivering a closing argument from 10-12 pages of notes and I tried to write out my closing arguments so if Putin's was 15 pages typed, yeah, probably 35-40 minutes, that's not a very long time to give way to rambling especially if you have to meander first. It wasn't like one of Castro's 4-hour jobs I know that so if Putin really rambled he rambled pretty quickly, which surprises me. Anyway, I'll see tomorrow when I read the rest of it, I'll let you know, I know you're expecting it and so I will. I promise. This weekend at the latest. Tomorrow's Friday and I'm having some of my best friends over, Jim Beam, the Walker twins, the red head and the dark haired gent, and my Old Grandad is coming over and I'm probably missing...Oh! How could I forget, one of my closest personal friends, Jack Daniels, Tennessee boy, Anyway that gang can get me rambling in a New York minute, no six paragraphs needed, six words can get me rambling after I have my fill of them. So we'll see, maybe this weekend, I'll see what I can do, ok. Okay? Promise that's okay? Alright.
