You know...Did I write that they have a lot in common? I don't think so, unfortunately. It makes perfect sense to me.
It really bothers me that Obama and Putin have such a bad relationship. I know I've written that before! And Trump makes me think, kept me up till 3 am thinking. I've thought, and written, a lot about Putin. Like with Trump, I see his side of things, I think Putin's-and Trump's-side of things is largely CRAP, but, disturbing for me to say, I think I understand Putin better than I understand second-term Obama.
These are the sweet nothings Putin and trump mouthed to each other today.
Putin:
“He is a very flamboyant man, very talented, no doubt about that. But it’s not our business to judge his merits, it’s up to the voters of the United States."
"He is an absolute leader of the presidential race, as we see it today. He says that he wants to move to another level relations, a deeper level of relations with Russia. How can we not welcome that? Of course, we welcome it.”
Trump:
"It is always a great honor to be so nicely complimented by a man so highly respected within his own country and beyond."
There is no doubt in my mind that things would be better between Russia and the U.S. in a Trump administration. NO DOUBT.
