Tawana Brawley, Duke Lacrosse Team, A Rape on Campus

A middle-aged white man, a friend of a friend, is dead, an apparent suicide, because of the build-up of pressure of an approximately two year police investigation into a false accusation of sexual assault made by a Black woman who he met on a dating site. The stress had caused visible wasting over the months, the man was not sleeping, he had no appetite, he was losing weight, losing his ability to concentrate. The woman's allegations killed this man. She and the police killed him. We cannot just "Believe the Women." This is the most awful thing I have ever been close to.
