As the Washington Post said in their "controlled chaos" article, there is often some truth in a Trumpet blast. This is what set him off today:
During the Democratic presidential debate Saturday night, Clinton alleged Trump was "becoming ISIS' best recruiter" based on his call to ban Muslims from entering the country, and other recent comments.
"They are going to people showing videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit more radical jihadists," the former secretary of state said.
On NBC's "Meet the Press," Sunday, Trump dismissed Clinton's criticism, knocking her as a "liar" and "weak."
"It's just another Hillary lie," Trump said. "She lies like crazy about everything -- whether it's trips where she was being gunned down in a helicopter, or an airplane. She's a liar and everybody knows that."
Hours later, Trump reiterated his comments up in a tweet, stating, "Hillary Clinton lied when she said that "ISIS is using video of Donald Trump as a recruiting tool." This was fact checked by @FoxNews: FALSE"
CNN's verdict:
CNN's Reality Check Team looked into this statement and found that although it is difficult to track all of ISIS' communication, there is no current evidence that backs up Clinton's claims about a specific video that features Trump.

I don't know about that one. One of the network anchors, forget his...Ah! Brian Williams, claimed a "bird" he was in was hit by ground fire, but I didn't hear about Hillary Clinton claiming something similar and if she did if it was true or false. But again, there's often some truth and Trump makes you think!
Why Hillary Clinton would do this is beyond me. She and the Obama administration have made similar general statements in the past, for which I have excoriated them, but here there is a specific claim that a specific person's statements are being used by Islamic State, something that can be fact-checked, was fact-checked by two networks, and found unsubstantiated. It is a lie or reckless disregard for the truth and she is either a liar or an idiot.
