The Premier League is an Alphonse and Gaston routine this year. Arsenal, with a chance to seize the top spot, drew today at Stoke. They lead the league now in goal difference alone when they could have gone two points clear with a win. So the top of the table is now:
Arsenal 44, +16
Leicester 44, +13
Manchester City 43, +22
One more point and City would go from third to first and have a commanding goal difference advantage. I think some club will seize this thing eventually but so far, 22 of 38 games in, reach has repeatedly exceeded grasp. I don't like it. So far, there is no great team in the league and it's a great league. It deserves a great team.
Also running today, Man United won at Liverpool 1-0. But, "This is Anfield?!" Fuck Anfield. United is now 5th.
