Jose Mourinho didn't participate in talking Louis out of resigning, it's fair to speculate! Goodness gracious.

"I'm very disappointed that I cannot reach the expectations of the fans.
Not "did not," "cannot."
"They have--or they had--great expectations of me and I cannot fulfill them."
