I predict that this will be the last season for Dave Doeren at NC State. This is his seventh season. The eighth game. They are 4-3, soon to be 4-4. They are playing #23 Wake Forest in Wake. They are getting massacred 44-10 near the end of the 3Q. They have beaten absolutely nobody this year and have gotten trounced 44-27, 31-13, 45-24 and whatever this score ends up being.
This should not be happening in a coach's seventh season, come on. Doeren came to Raleigh in 2013 after two years at Northern Illinoise. Not a big jump at all actually. In two years at Northern his teams were 23-5. Took Northern to the Orange Bowl--the one Pitt is going to play in in several weeks--where they got their fudge packed by FSU but taking Northern Illinoise to the Orange Bowl was frigging outstanding. So he came to NC State.
Well, now that I look at his yearly record at NC State no, I take back my prediction. I don't think they'll fire him. Which was the whole point of this post, now I have to take it back. FUCK. He has only had one losing season at NC State, 3-9 his first year. He's had two nine win seasons (two 7-6 seasons, also), an eight win season and this year's...he may have won his last game this season. He is getting killed today and has Clemson, Louisville, Georgia Tech and UNC after today. No, he'll prolly win one or two of those. Reasonably, given who he's beaten and who he has lost to, a 6-6 season would be the best expected. That will get him into a bowl...Forget this whole fucking post.
