Really good numbers. Do I read unenthused? No fireworks today. Look at these graphs from the Times:
Cases
A complete fucking free fall since Jan. 8. Hospitalizations
First tracks, dry powder slaloming.
Deaths
A cruciate-tearing, leg-breaking, up-and-down, down-and-up rocky road.In the week Feb. 8-14 under President Biden the dead are 3.4% of those hospitalized. In 46-1's last week, Jan. 14-20, the dead were 2.43% of those hospitalized. Thus as a proportion of those hospitalized the dead have increased under President Biden. I cannot understand it, I have read nothing explaining it, and it remains a black mark that darkens all other numbers. I don't celebrate black marks.
