UCLA-#10 Oregon. The blot on Nike's resume is the Trees, 31-24 in PaL.o AL.to. One signature win, and it was writ LARGE in 'Umbus over OSU. UCLA 5-2. Wow, pretty good. Biggest win: at home against LSU. Worst loss. Pick 'em: 41-23 to Arizona State at home or 40-37 to Fresno State at home. Lord. Common opponents. Uclans beat Stanford in Stanford, okay! Lost to Fresno. Nike beat the "Raisins" in Eugene by 7. Not real impressive but beats the hell out of a L. to them at home. Oregon crushed putrid Arizona at home; UCLA beat them by 18 in Tucson. UCLA's lost two, and their only two, at home. Oregon-5. [UCLA-2!]
Iowa State-#8 Oklahoma State. Hmm. Trap game for "Boones"? I don't think against Iowa State. "Cyclops" 4-2. Really struggled early. Only 16-10 over Northern Iowa, L. to Iowa 27-17 at home; UNLV, then a close L. at Baylor; Kansas, K-State. Ok. State: "Pokes" unbeaten, 6-0. Some close W.'s though, by 7 over "Missouri" "State", by 5 over Tulsa, by one at Boise--tuff place to play. Beat Texas in Austin.Commons: beat Baylor in Stillwater by 10, Iowa State lost at by 2. Iowa State hasn't really beaten anybody. Okie State has--Baylor and Texas. Oklahoma State-6. [ISU-7!!]
#4 Alabama-Tennessee. Bama-20. [-25]
Air Force-#22 San Diego State. Don't know, don't care. Won't bet in 100 years.
La. Tech-#24 UTSA--Remind me never to do this again.--Don't know, don't care.
Indiana-#5 Ohio State. Look ahead game? PSU in 'Umbus the following week. Naw, I don't think so. OSU has already lost once, they know they can't afford another. I think they make a statement and crush IND. Think Vegas and fellow investors will think likewise. OSU-15.[-20]
Miami-#18 NC State. I guess NC State's good. 5-1. That win last week in Chestnut Hill was impressive! We know the "Hurricanes" blow. Now they do have Tyler Van Dyke in his second game, first at home. He almost pulled that game out last week in Chapel Hill. UM fought like dogs in that second half when I thought they'd mail it in. That was a crushing loss for them and I don't think there's any resiliency in the team or that can be transmitted by the coaches. NC State-7. [-3]
#13 Notre Dame-USC. THE game. What a splendid rivalry. Weird stat: USC has been blown out in three games at home (?)--by 14 to Trees, 18 to Oregon State, 16 by Utah. Wow, weird. Killed Colorado and Washington State on the road, This game's on the road. It's also in South Bend. It's their biggest rival. ND, like OSU, can't afford a second loss at home. ND-10. [-7]
#17 Texas A&M-South Carolina. "Aggies"-23.[-21]
DONE.
