Continuing our popular series "Daily Anniversary Observances," June 7 is the anniversary of Emperor Theodosius II's marriage to Aelia Eudocia. ? In 421, A.D. I hope my wedding dates aren't still remembered in 1600 years.

The Siege of Jerusalem began on June 7, 1099, part of the First Crusade. Yeah! Onward Christian Soldiers! Oh...sorry, Bryan.

Get this one: "Troops of the Republic of Venice capture Udine...Udine...ending the independence of the Patriarchal State of Friuli."...Friuili. Come on, Wikipedia, that's lame.

1800: "David Thompson reaches the mouth of the Saskatchewan River in Manitoba." Did he find any people there? Are there any people there now?

1892: "Benjamin Harrison (!!!) becomes the first President of the United States to attend a baseball game."

1899: "American Temperance crusader Carrie Nation...I know that bitch!...begins her campaign of vandalizing alcohol-serving establishments...BEE-ATCH!...by destroying the inventory of a saloon in Kiowa, Kansas."

I've had it. I'm not reading anymore
