"Everything" and "anything" Trump says. Let's submit that to a gut-check. If Trump had run as a populist Democrat (he was a Democrat) instead of as a racist-nationalist Republican and attacked Republicans and racists exactly as he attacks Democrats and left-wingers now, in the same tone, would the Trump Cultists still "not care"? Would the they still "care about him" and like"everything and anything if he wasn't a racist-nationalist?
That is hard to do. I've altered some of Trump's tweets below to fit test conditions. How does your gut react to these?
"Google search results for 'Trump News' shows only the viewing/reporting of Fake News Media. In other words, they have it RIGGED, for me & others, so that almost all stories & news is BAD. Fake Fox is prominent. Democratic & Fair Media is shut out. Illegal? 96% of....results on 'Trump News' are from National Right-Wing Media, very dangerous. Google & others are suppressing voices of Democrats and hiding information and news that is good. They are controlling what we can & cannot see. This is a very serious situation-will be addressed!"
"I just cannot state strongly enough how totally dishonest the Right-Wing Media is. Truth doesn’t matter to Fake Fox and Bad Breitbart, they only have their hatred & agenda. Enemy of the People!"
My gut reacted more to the second, shorter tweet. I buy "Fake Fox and Bad Breitbart"! I know Democrats would but that's not the test. The test is would the real Trump Cultists still "care about him," still like "anything and everything" he said if he called Fox and Breitbart racist-nationalists and the "Enemy of the People!"? No. I cannot see that. Message matters to Messiahs and False Messiahs alike.
