With :08 left in regulation and second and ten from the NE 21 KC kicked a FG. Imo, that was a mistake. A fade route to the back of the end zone would not have taken 8 secs; if the play was there KC would have won the game; if it was not the QB could have tossed it out of the end zone. They then could have kicked the FG with 3-4 secs left. This is not after-the-fact second guessing. It was my immediate reaction to my son. Mistake, imo, certainly in hindsight, but mistake as it happened imo too.
