What do we expect today? This is the first day of the new reporting week so the dailies will be up over Feb. 7th numbers. On the more important 7-day daily averages and the 14-day changes, there's no stoppin' us now, all three categories will be down, all three will be down over seven days, Deaths far less than the others, less than yesterday's -8% is my prediction. Let's see...

89,727 Cases. Up very slightly over Feb. 7.

1,596 Deaths. Up almost 300 but not a moon launch like we have seen on Tuesdays coming off Mondays. My read on these dailies is that the virus and its consequences are being suppressed, that is, the increase is reporting artifact and even on catch-up days they're not getting back to where they were. That is clear from the longer time period metrics. Melting. Joe is melting the witch.
