I end tonight on a spiritual note, for the Moody Blues “For My Lady”, almost fifty years ago, is still a remarkable spiritual tribute to women and to the one extraordinary woman in particular who the videographer obviously focused on in the end. Vocalist Ray Thomas poetically “give his life” to this lady.

Ray is in heaven now and there are several points in the song where he looks heavenward. Ray lived a long while after this recording and he and this song live forever in those who have loved. For the some, I assume, who have never experienced the love Ray immoralizes here, the song will make you fall in love.

Some screenshots first and then the video as a whole. As I have posted this previously I point out the unusual Celtic marching beat present at the end. It is an extraordinary song.
Ray sees beyond.

He sees on earth beautiful, gentle, fresh-faced, rain-washed, wholesome young women.

But when the videographer sees this young woman in her modest hair dress, you can almost hear him say, “My God. I have found her. She is the One!”

He immediately zooms in on those extraordinary eyes.

Ray seems to know he has seen The One and looks to her and heaven.

At the conclusion as the Irish martial beat dum dum dum dum dum-dum-dum-dum-dum’s away in rhe background, Ray, seeming to look for her,
And she gradually returns to him again.

Barely perceptible here.
Coming back to Ray more strongly now.

I am here Ray. Do you see me?

Ray is now fading, eclipsed by The Lady.

Ray is barely visible.

He is completely subsumed. She has come all the way back. I am yours and you are mine, Ray Thomas.

Now and forever
Amen.

Good night.
