Biden Nominates Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson for Supreme Court

It appears to be a home-run pick. Judge Jackson was appointed by the president to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, a breeder of future Justices. She is described as "liberal leaning" by the New York Times, which would also describe the Justice she will replace, Stephen G. Breyer. She was confirmed by the Senate in a 53-44 vote with three Republican supporting her. Katanji Brown Jackson grew up in Miami and graduated from Harvard College and Harvard Law School. She is 51 years-old.
