Okay, this is beginning to have the smell of the copycat to it. For the record the one shot down today was in Canadian territory over Lake Huron. Four total in North America and three in the last three days. None of them militarily capable. Now one over China? The ones Friday and Saturday not thought to be Chinese. The last time we shot down a hostile nation's aircraft over NA was...When? Now we've had three in three days? Four in a week? Are there commercially available drones that fit these specs: octagon shaped (today's) AND/OR the size of a small car (Friday's or Saturday's, I forget) PLUS can fly at 20,000 feet?
I was nonplussed by the original. I didn't think we needed to shoot it down: Who cares? Knock yourself China. But then PoJo was pressured into it. Now, I could see some drunk kid with a superty duperty drone thinking, "Oh yeah! Top Gun, F-22's shoot my thing down!"
