By reviewing cellphone, car-tracking and other data in intricate detail, the prosecution tried to highlight inconsistencies in Mr. Murdaugh’s account — in particular, his actions between 9:02 and 9:06 p.m., when his phone recorded him taking 283 steps that he could not explain.
