*Update:
Knicks’ OG Anunoby ruled out for Game 7 due to hamstring strain
A short turnaround. Josh Hart played through "abdominal soreness" last night after coming out of the game briefly. He was ineffective in 31': 5 points, 8 rebounds. Pascal Siakam, Hart's primary defensive assignment, had 25 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. There's a chance OG Anunoby will play tomorrow.
Wearing the "Knicks" out to get to a seventh game was Indiana's goal from the beginning of the series. This vulnerability is what you get when you hire Tom Thibodeau as your coach. After 82 games, iron man minutes, and then the heightened intensity of the playoffs, stress injuries are all but inevitable. Indiana out-physical-ed NY last night too, adding to the wear and tear. They outrebounded them 47-35 and in points in the paint bullied them 62-38. Thibodeau went deep into his bench last night but Jalen Brunson (sore foot) still played 38 mins, DiVincenzo played 39 in a game that wasn't close after midway through the second quarter. I predict New York will win tomorrow but if Anunoby plays, he will not be effective, and if Hart is limited too, Brunson will have to have another transcendent playoff game or Manhattan Spring will end early and in sorrow.
