Of course, we would be toast. The point of that Politico article was that when you look into the forest on the horizon to Election Day, there is no discernible path for us. The trees of a forest make a wall at a distance. Hunters know this. Only when you get closer do you see paths between the trees, and game, if it is there. Is the trophy game there for the president? I don't know, I can't see it from here.
